It is one of the most modern myths, that vitamin supplements help to prevent certain diseases. I just stumbled over this article, which shows how it came into being.

What was crossing my mind, when I read it was, how many people may have actually damaged their health simply because they wanted to live healthy? Given the health obsession in some parts of our societies, I wonder what else is out there, that is supposed to make us live longer but actually does not.

Great article and a must read.... So little we know about human body and its processes, yet the drug companies have profits to make ;o)
