George Monbiot writes in the Guardian about the risk posed by Neonicotinoids, a widely used insecticide:

it is always difficult to assess how alarmed we should be by such reports, but it seems inevitable that large-scale agricultural pest-control programs will affect wildlife. The big question, then, is how do we best manage this risk while still meeting global food demand?
