I was fortunate enough to attend Swiss Re's Open Minds Forum last Thursday. Prior to arriving, I was excited about the topics (advancing sustainable energy solutions, funding longer lives, managing climate and natural disaster risk, and partnering for food security) on the schedule, as many are ones I am personally vested in. As I arrived, I was greeted by an environment buzzing with anticipation, an environment which certainly helped foster the creative thought process. The caricatures aided in breaking the wall between the importance of the topic and your comfort level in discussing it. Truly, it was an amazing atmosphere.
As Swiss Re's campus recruiter, I am often asked about our environmental consciousness and our social responsibility. The OMF summed up our stance on both of those topics perfectly and has garnished large amounts of attention on LinkedIn from future recruits. I am excited to share my experience at OMF on campus and brag about the cool things Swiss Re is doing in this area.
I hope that because of OMF our clients will join us in our "thought leadership" and convince the skeptical that advancing sustainable energy solutions, funding longer lives, managing climate and natural disaster risk, and partnering for food security are topics of importance.
