The consequences of an ageing population are nowadays a common topic of discussion. The Fellowship for Longer Lives gave us the opportunity to develop an action plan to create an effective solution that brought benefit to the whole of society. We are the founders of VIS (Very Important Senior), and we were selected as one of the three ideas to go through the pre - incubation session. Our mission from the start has been to make a connection between two generations: seniors and students.

We wanted to make both generations make the best of each other, and earn from their different characteristics, being able to grow as individuals. VIS is based around an app that meets the senior requests of help and assistance with the students' will and free time they can use. From this basic idea, we had developed a short pitch that made us go on to the pre - incubation phase. Our idea though, was still premature and not ready to be fulfilled. The sessions in the Milan Impact Hub with experts from different backgrounds, (such as Web Marketing, Economic and Finance Planning and Communication) gave us the opportunity to expand our knowledge, and to better face the difficulties that we might encounter, as well as making our milestones much clearer.

Another important figure in our process was our mentor, who helped us with his past experience in businesses, and told us how to better our idea, and to make it more specific. This guidance made it possible for us to create our first ever business plan. These have been three great and productive months, where we have learned a lot and managed to develop our project to make it better and more sustainable.

Congratulations! Great topic. Could you say more about the concept? Do you have a link to the project? I'd love to hear more about how you're bringing old and young together :)
